I'm a blogger too!

So I am new to the blogging world and in looking at some of the other blogs I have come to a couple of realizations:

1)  Every body and their dog has a blog.

2)  Most bloggers are women with children.  (Lots of pics)

3)  I have got to get some of those M&M's with the pretzels in them and try
     them!  (you would not believe how many people are discussing these in their
     blog)

My thoughts are then --what makes a good blog?  What brings you in and keeps you coming back for more?  What can give my words wings?  I think the answer to all of these is "personality."  Are you funny, do you have something worth saying, is your perspective relatable?  I hope so!  I have figured out that you have got to sell yourself to get followers.  With this I mean, you got to talk yourself up.  "Hey, you know how funny I am when we hang out together, well now you can enjoy me in a blog."  or maybe  "I've noticed that sometimes you actually laugh at my jokes, you should read my blog."  If all else fails, "I know that you like to make fun of me and I am not above bribing you with some pretzel M&M's if you will follow me."

These are just some of the tactics I am considering trying.   Since I only have one follower right now,  I better go to the store & get my bribes ready!

My first blog

This is my first blog and a few things come into mind--

Am I worthy of followers?  Probably not

Is my life interesting enough to actually have something to blog about?  Again, probably not

So far my blog is full of expectations that I am not sure I am going to be able to fulfill and , no pressure here, a questionable number of words as to whether this could even be considered a blog.  Thus is life, high expectations and a questioning of ones self worth.  The good thing is, the closer I get to 40 (December 28th for those of you looking to add to your calendar) the better I feel about my self worth.  Who knew the older you get the more confident you become?  Or maybe it is just the more you are willing to share your opinion.  So, if nothing else, I hope I am at least relatable to others.  I definitely have an opinion and maybe I've peeked your interest enough to want to find out what it is.  Here is to hoping I blog again.  Have a great week!
